History
Childhood Domestic Violence Association founding
The Childhood Domestic Violence Association was originally founded in 2007 by Brian F. Martin. Around that time, Brian visited a domestic violence shelter to bring some gifts for the holiday season to the children who were staying there. During his visit he realized there were more children in the shelter than women.
He understood ths issue through the lens of chldhood as he was one of those kids, so was his mom. He soon after founded the Childhood Domestic Violence Association and his mom, Marilyn, became its first board member.
