Several decades ago, leading researchers discovered how ‘Adverse Childhood Experiences’ can impact one’s life. The researchers identified 10 different types of experiences. Experiences like going through the pain of a parental divorce or living with a parent who struggles with addiction.

There was one adversity that did not have a name. The researchers were only able to ask questions about it by providing scenarios. We have come a long way since that time and we now know that when you grow up witnessing domestic violence, that’s called childhood domestic violence. But it is still the least known adversity that one can experience in their childhood home. Our goal is to achieve global universal awareness of childhood domestic violence as that is the first step. That is a significant step, one that you can be a significant part of making a reality.

Your internship will leverage current technology while leveraging a proven strategy to ignite global change.

We’ve designed this internship program with your needs in mind. We honor your service. We acknowledge your skill knowledge and experience. We also recognize that you are not being told to pursue this opportunity but rather, it is your choice. As such we respect your time and have designed this four-week internship through the lens of on demand learning and web-based training.

It is founded on the proven principle attributed to Rene Dubois a French environmentalist and Pulitzer Prize winning author, to ‘Think Globally, Act Locally.”

As you act close to home as a CDV Intern and Ambassador, where you can have significant local impact, you become a role model of what is possible, inspiring others to do the same in other local markets across the globe.
