Medical Professionals Link Early Childhood Trauma with Decreased School Performance

A new study from the medical professionals at Princeton and Columbia links early childhood trauma to decreased performance in school. Attention issues were three times as likely among children who faced adversity, and violence issues were twice as likely.

Data came from a national survey with a sample of 5,000 children born in large cities from 1998-2000. Read about this study and some of the programs designed to remedy it HERE.
